Apple Corps. Ltd. was created by the Beatles after the death of Brian Epstein, their manager. It was intended to be a small group of companies, including Apple Retail, Apple Publishing, Apple Electronics, Apple Films and Apple Records along with others to create a tax-effective business structure.

Apple Records and Apple Publishing managed several artists that were discovered or supported by the Beatles. As a part of the management process, one or more of the Beatles have personally attended the recording sessions of these artists to mentor them.

The Bishop Collection Music Archives contains 90 Apple Records: lp, 7" and 10" single albums of the artists managed by the company, including The Beatles, each of the Beatles individually, Billy Preston, James Taylor, Mary Hopkin, Badfinger, Sundown Playboys, and more. Included in the Collection is the rare, The Beatles: Christmas Album issued only to the fan club, which is still in its original shrink-wrap.
